Normally, when I post a clip from Omaha’s busiest intersection, it involves !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . Today, I got a rather different treat. All I can say is that I barely got out before this intersection went full-on Mumbai.

1- I must once again congratumalate you on soundtrack choice.
2-What the fuck just happened? Why were the red lights blinking? Why are there so many lights assembled in such a weird crane-like apparatus?

1. Thanks, it’s just the local oldies station.
2. The lights broke right in front of me, and went from normal lights to a “four way stop”. With two town lane roads crossing each other (which is why the signal gantry is so big) a four way stop won’t cut it.

That is way too many lights.
Reminds me of this:
But that was a piece of art.

This is by far the longest traffic light structure I’ve ever seen, to the point it’s trussed.

Huh, that’s funny, when our light go Kaputt they go to blinking yellow or just full on dead broken.

72nd and Dodge?

Sometimes ours do that too.

Yup

Oh man, I can't imagine trying to negotiate that as a 4-way.

I imagine hell would be pulling up to the next intersection and its exactly the same.

I may have already asked you this, but are you from here?

I live about 4 hours away in Cedar Falls, IA. My aunt and uncle live just north of Omaha, near those old military barracks if you’re familiar with that part of town.

I live here in Omaha. There’s still construction ahead and after that intersection. I hate that intersection. I. Hate. That. Intersection.
Glad to hear you made it out alive and glad to know a few Opponaughts live around town. I drive a red E30 Cabrio around. Wave if you see me!
What am I saying? It’s Omaha. Everybody waives.

Likewise, keep an eye out for a gold first gen A8 with a weird license plate. If Im driving like an ass when you see me, I’m sorry in advance.

I just got back from Hummel Park, is it near there?

Any time I have a video involving a major intersection here, people are amazed by the size of the signal gantries. I don’t even think about them.

Ha! I think I’ve already seen you around. I have a soft spot for A8s. They look great in gold.
Excellent choice.

They help to, ya know, not get blown over by the wind out here.

Thanks. This is the car in question. (Beige sounds bad so I call it gold).

Beautiful. Those wheels look fantastic. Looks like you take excellent care of that thing.
My E30 is not nearly as impressive. It’s got about 4 different shades of red. Plus, no wipers. Still runs great, though.

Yeah, its a couple miles from there. They have an acreage off 36/Bennington near Cunningham Lake.

I try, and so did the owners before me.
Hey, if it’s runnings smooth, who cares if it looks rough.

Oh, more west. I don’t get out there much, but certainly some.
